About Me

I'm a Mechanical Design Engineer, currently working in Product Design in Cambridge, England. I studied Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University.

My interests revolve around all things mechatronics; from the design of gears and gearboxes, through to actuators and sensors and the electronics that drive them, and the software that integrates these all together, with a splash of kinematics and control theory. Perhaps because of the proliferation of microcontrollers in today's world, I also find great satisfaction in the mechanical mechanisms of yesteryear, from the elaborate system of gears, cams and linkages that comprised audio cassette players, to the single-cylinder steam engines of the early Industrial Revolution.
